Valentines Vintage Fashion Show and Sale

The Valentines Fashion Show was a quiet weekend in Tarrytown. I suppose the weather kept a lot of folks at home and not many walked through the doors at the Double Tree Hotel. Although the room was filled with gads of great vintage clothing and jewels, there were few folks there to appreciate it. I continue to have faith in the economy and the Cord Shows promotions. I am hoping that the Danbury Vintage Clothing show in April will make up for the lack of business this weekend.

From the Cord Shows website comes this description:
"Tarrytown, NY.... Being Retro and wearing quality made fine vintage clothing with vintage accessories is high style. Dealers have a keen eye for fashion that has endured through time. Have you ever noticed that it is easy to pick out a person wearing something vintage? They just stand out in a crowd. On Friday and Saturday (NOT Sunday), the ballroom at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown, NY, will be the venue for the 2nd Valentine's Vintage Fashion Show and Sale.

Offered in the displays of up to 28 dealers will be Victorian through the 1980's clothing for women, men, even boys and girls. How about finding vintage stockings, lingerie, coats and jackets, scarves, hats, handbags, shoes, compacts, hankies, vintage buttons, trims, linens, lace, sewing implements and fabrics, vintage beads, findings and EVEN vintage patterns and drawings from the Victorian era through the 1960's? Fine antique jewelry and watches from the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco time will be offered. Vintage estate jewelry, silver jewelry and vintage costume jewelry from the 1920's to the 80's made by designers such as Hattie Carnegie, Coro, Eisenberg, Miriam Haskell and others will be offered.
